A growing digital team is seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Developer to contribute to the delivery of high-quality web solutions for a range of clients across sectors including healthcare, housing, legal, and professional services.

This is an ideal role for a developer with solid backend experience who’s looking to expand their skillset across modern JavaScript frameworks and headless CMS platforms, and work on large-scale, content-rich digital builds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain backend services and systems that power dynamic digital experiences
  • Build and extend headless CMS integrations (e.g., Contentful, Sitecore, or similar)
  • Create performant APIs and server-side logic to support frontend applications
  • Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and product owners in an Agile setting
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, documentation, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and security standards are upheld
  • Participate in peer code reviews and development best practices
Required Skills & Experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in backend development using C#, .NET, or Node.js
  • Working knowledge of React and Next.js (enough to collaborate effectively with frontend teams)
  • Experience with headless CMS platforms such as Contentful, Sanity, Sitecore, or equivalent
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
  • Proficient in Git and CI/CD workflows
  • Previous experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Exposure to JAMstack architecture and modern web development patterns
  • Experience in a digital agency or client-facing delivery role
