12 month Contract (extendable), Outside IR35, Fully remote role (UK). My client is seeking an experienced L1/L2 Support & Development Analyst with strong expertise in Oracle OLAP Option/Oracle Analytical Workspace (AW). The role focuses on supporting and enhancing business-critical analytical and planning platforms used by Finance and Commercial stakeholders. This is a hands-on role combining application support, OLAP development, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 application support for Oracle-based analytical and OLAP systems
- Troubleshoot issues related to OLAP cubes, data loads, calculations, and hierarchies
- Develop, enhance, and maintain OLAP DML scripts
- Support and improve multidimensional data models and analytical reports
- Investigate and resolve performance and data quality issues
- Work closely with Finance and Commercial teams to understand business requirements
- Assist with ongoing enhancements and minor development initiatives
- Support BAU operations of enterprise reporting and planning solutions
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience supporting an OLAP-based reporting or planning system, such as: Oracle OLAP/Analytical Workspace, Essbase, TM1, Board, MS SSAS, Tableau, SAP BW/BW/4HANA
- Strong understanding of multidimensional concepts, including: Hierarchies and dimensional modelling, Time-series data, Aggregation paths and calculation logic, FP&A or planning workflows
- Background in application or production support, strong analytical and problem-solving capability and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable/Nice to Have
- Oracle Express/Oracle OLAP Option
- OLAP DML development experience
- Exposure to OFA/OSA (Oracle Financial Analyzer/Oracle Sales Analyzer)
- VBA for Excel
- Oracle SQL/PL/SQL
- Understanding of Finance or Sales data domains
- Experience with Oracle Analytical Views
