We're hiring a Senior Network Operations Engineer to join a globally distributed infrastructure team supporting a large-scale, high-traffic platform. This is a hands-on role focused on keeping the network stable, secure, and highly performant, while also contributing to automation and cloud transformation initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting and maintaining network infrastructure across multiple global data centres and offices
  • Performing advanced diagnostics across network layers and server networking (Linux/CentOS environments)
  • Driving improvements through automation and configuration management
  • Contributing to cloud networking initiatives as infrastructure evolves
  • Managing IP address space, VLANs, and subnetting
  • Working closely with system engineers to share knowledge and improve performance
  • Engaging with external providers, including global IP transit operators
  • Supporting network security and maintaining a secure perimeter
  • Participating in an on-call rota

Skills/Experience required:

  • 5+ years' experience in Linux systems engineering (RHEL/CentOS preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across networking and systems (L1-L7)
  • Solid experience with routing protocols (BGP, IS-IS; OSPF a plus)
  • Hands-on experience with Juniper (MX, SRX, QFX) devices
  • Knowledge of EVPN-VXLAN architectures and modern data centre networking
  • Experience with load balancing, packet filtering, and high-traffic environments
  • Understanding of IPv4/IPv6, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ICMP diagnostics
  • Exposure to GCP
  • Experience with cloud networking and CDN environments
  • Exposure to DDoS prevention/mitigation and network security best practices
