Location: Preston Area - Hybrid

Rate: Up to Β£475 per day (Outside IR35)

Contract Length: Initial 12 Month Contract

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Cybersecurity Engineer to support a major Embedded systems programme within a highly regulated engineering environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in cybersecurity engineering activities across complex vehicle platforms, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARA) for Embedded systems and electronic control units.
  • Define and document cybersecurity requirements and technical specifications.
  • Produce high-quality engineering documentation to support compliance and assurance activities.
  • Define cryptographic service requirements for Embedded platforms.
  • Support cybersecurity activities throughout the product development life cycle.
  • Collaborate with engineering, software and systems teams across multiple locations.
  • Contribute to programme delivery, ensuring milestones are achieved within agreed timescales.
  • Support technical reviews, audits and cybersecurity governance activities.

Required Skills Experience

Strong experience with automotive cybersecurity principles and practices.
