About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect / Gating Engineer with strong Site Engineering expertise to support end-to-end telecom site engineering activities. The ideal candidate must have hands-on exposure to RAN and transport site environments (Ericsson or Nokia) and the ability to effectively bridge technical, operational, and customer requirements. This role requires a proactive professional who can ensure site engineering readiness, resolve technical challenges, and support smooth project delivery across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take end-to-end responsibility for all site engineering activities, including site surveys, survey validation, BoQ preparation and validation, Site Material Requests (SMRs), Site Installation Documentation (SIDs), site design documentation, and implementation support.
- Manage day-to-day engineering issues across multiple project sites, including floor plans, power layouts, cabling, tower structures, and related infrastructure.
- Interface with customers to align on site requirements, provide updates on material release status, and address site engineering concerns.
- Support the implementation team by providing practical, technically viable solutions to site-related challenges.
- Maintain and track the status of SMRs, site surveys, BoQs, and engineering issues, and provide regular progress updates to management.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables meet required quality, safety, and client standards.
Requirements:
- Must-have: Proven hands-on experience working on SMRs, SIDs, and BoQs in telecom site engineering projects.
- Hands-on site engineering experience in Ericsson or Nokia RAN and transport networks.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in telecom site engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of telecom site infrastructure, including power, cabling, and structural components.
- Ability to manage multiple sites and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent English communication skills.
Education & Certifications:
- Familiarity with UK telecom project environments and client standards.
- Experience supporting end-to-end mobile network rollout or upgrade projects.
