About the Role: We are seeking a mid-level RF Design Engineer to support planning and design activities across macro, small cell, EME, and in-building solutions. This role focuses on RF design and compliance, with exposure to indoor coverage design and occasional site support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with LTE and 5G network design, RF optimization, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Macro RF design for LTE and 5G networks, including new site design, redesign, and optimization.
- Support Small Cell (SMC) planning and integration with the macro layer.
- Conduct EME / RF exposure calculations and prepare compliance documentation.
- Develop In-building (IBS) and indoor RF designs for selected venues.
- Prepare RF design deliverables such as coverage plots, RFDS, EME reports, and technical documentation.
- Support performance validation and troubleshooting activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in occasional site surveys as required.
Requirements:
- 3–7 years of experience in RF design and planning.
- Strong hands-on experience with Macro RF design (LTE / 5G).
- Hands-on experience with Atoll and/or Planet (mandatory).
- Experience with Small Cell design and capacity offload solutions.
- Working knowledge of EME / RF safety compliance and exposure assessments.
- Experience with In-building / indoor RF design tools such as Ekahau, iBwave, or cnHeat.
- Familiarity with RF performance and validation tools such as Actix, TEMS, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of antenna parameters, propagation models, and interference management.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Asset, U-Net, MapInfo, ArcGIS, or Global Mapper.
- Exposure to operator OSS tools (Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson).
- Previous experience working across multiple markets or operators.
