Tech Native is a mission-led digital skills provider delivering government-funded Skills Bootcamps across Sussex.

You will be one of two full-time Learner Success Managers supporting our Wave 7 bootcamps, with all cohorts running in one block.

Between you, you cover around 125 learners across all five programmes (Software Development, AI and Digital Analytics, Business Management, Leadership and Management, and Microsoft 365), working closely with tutors and the Bootcamp Operational team.

You will be assigned a caseload of around 60 learners.

Each Learner Success Manager leads one specialism across the whole programme: this role leads on learning support and SEND, the other on careers, progression and employer engagement.

The aim for both is to ensure that learners are supported, stay on programme and progress into positive, paid work at the end of the course.

You are an independent, trusted point of contact for learners and part of Tech Native's early-warning and quality assurance system.

The role needs warmth, empathy, strong professional boundaries, and confidence with learners and staff.

  • Case management
  • Be the main point of contact for your caseload: ILPs, onboarding, midpoint and exit or progression reviews.
  • Monitor attendance, engagement, wellbeing and progression, acting on early-warning triggers with follow-up within 48 hours.
  • Gather and act on learner feedback throughout the programme, identifying themes and contributing to continuous improvement activity, quality reviews and action planning.
  • Liaise with tutors and programme leads to coordinate support, and help learners overcome barriers and complete successfully.
  • Own your caseload's outcomes against the milestones: 100% starting, 90% completing (M2), and 75% of completers gaining an employment or progression outcome (M3).

Tech Native is funded on these outcomes, so they are both an organisational priority and a personal KPI you will be measured on.

Learning support and SEND leadership

This is the organisational lead role for identifying and responding to additional learning needs, including neurodiversity, disability, mental health, caring responsibilities and other barriers.

The role focuses on SEND coordination, assessment and guidance, stepping into direct support where cases are complex.

  • Lead learning support needs assessments at onboarding and early delivery, across application, interview and diagnostic activity, translating disclosed needs into clear ILP actions within the first two weeks that tutors can implement.
  • Ensure reasonable adjustments are agreed, recorded, reviewed and embedded into delivery, covering pacing, formats, deadlines and assistive tools, following a graduated Assess, Plan, Do, Review approach.
  • Act as the named specialist contact for learners with additional needs, providing reassurance, advocacy and continuity.
  • Coordinate fortnightly SEND operations meetings during delivery to monitor progress and adjust support in good time, and own the consistency and visibility of support recording in Tech Native's systems.
  • Strengthen early identification of disengagement and mental health need, including induction messaging that normalises support and reduces under-disclosure.
  • Advise and informally train tutors on inclusive teaching and differentiation, contributing to an "Inclusion in Practice" guide, covering neurodiversity, anxiety, ADHD, dyslexia, autism and similar needs in intensive bootcamp settings, without lowering expectations.
  • Support learners to develop confidence, professional behaviours, resilience and employability skills alongside their technical learning.
  • Monitor engagement, retention and outcomes for learners with identified needs, elevate risks early, and contribute to quality assurance, self-assessment and Ofsted readiness.
  • Pastoral care, safeguarding and records
  • Build trusted relationships and monitor wellbeing, responding calmly and keeping clear boundaries with complex needs.
  • Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead by identifying concerns, following Safeguarding and Prevent reporting procedures and keeping accurate records, knowing when to support directly and when to elevate.
  • Promote and raise awareness of British Values throughout your work.
  • Support the delivery of Tech Native's careers provision, being present in careers sessions and supporting learners' progress towards their careers outcomes and progression routes.
  • Own learner records, ILPs and milestone (M1, M2, M3) evidence in Tech Native's systems for funding claims and audit, and make sure every learner is put forward to Tech Talent Champions and, where they want it, actively promoted to employers.

This is shared across both Learner Success Managers.

  • What we are looking for
  • Experience in learner support, SEND support, pastoral care, employability or coaching, or strong people-focused support experience with transferable skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and resilience.
  • Strong understanding of learning support needs, neurodiversity or SEND in adult education or training.
  • Excellent communication and trust-building with learners and staff.
  • Organised and confident working independently and remotely.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence with digital systems and learner data.
  • Commitment to the highest levels of safeguarding and inclusion practice.
  • Able to travel to Brighton and Eastbourne for in-person delivery.
  • Experience in funded adult education, such as Skills Bootcamps, AEB or apprenticeships.
  • Familiarity with ILPs, RARPA or Df E reporting.
  • Experience advising teaching staff on reasonable adjustments or inclusive practice.
  • Experience with enhanced diagnostic tools to inform support planning.
  • Safer recruitment, culture and inclusion

Tech Native Digital applies safer recruitment to all appointments: offers are subject to a basic DBS check, right to work verification, identity and qualifications checks, and satisfactory references.

We offer remote-first working with regular in-person days, flexible hours, access to CPD and peer support, and meaningful work in a growing, mission-led organisation.

We are an inclusive organisation and particularly welcome applications from people underrepresented in the digital and training sectors.

We are happy to discuss any adjustments you need.
