Looking for an early-stage engineering role where you can help shape a category-defining AI product - and grow into a Tech Lead? Techmunity are hiring a Founding Engineer for a fast-growing AI startup in London building the next generation of hiring technology. The founders have built complex systems at global companies and worked with some of the most demanding enterprise clients (Palantir, McKinsey, Rothschild). Backed by reputable VCs and professional angels, the product is already live and used by multiple large organisations. Now they’re hiring their first engineer to help take it from early traction to a stable, scalable platform.
The Role
You’ll work across the full stack, taking open-ended problems and turning them into working features. You’ll own core parts of the product, shape the architecture, and work directly with the founding team to iterate fast based on user feedback. As the team grows over the next 12–18 months, this role progresses naturally into a Tech Lead position. You’ll help hire and mentor a small engineering team while staying hands-on.
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll be partnered with a highly experienced CTO with deep systems experience from top-tier technology environments. Expect support, high standards, and the space to make real technical decisions.
Tech Environment
- Real-time data and workflow pipelines
- They value strong engineering fundamentals over specific syntax.
What They’re Looking For
- Senior full-stack engineer (5–8 years) with experience in high-ownership environments
- Strong product instincts and user-focused thinking
- Comfortable owning architecture across backend, frontend and cloud
- Keen to step into a Tech Lead role as the engineering team grows
- Happy to work 4 days a week in their London HQ (Holborn)
