Seed-stage AI-native company taking on a major UK regulated services market. Backed by top-tier European VCs, founders include the team behind one of the UK's best-known modern consumer brands. Public launch later this year. Working MVP exists. The job is to take it from prototype to the platform that supports launch and scale.

You will:

  • Design and own the architecture of the platform - the state machine, workflow engine, API layer and data model that orchestrate every transaction
  • Own infrastructure, deployments and CI/CD - ensure the platform is reliable, scalable and fast as they grow from launch to thousands of concurrent transactions
  • Build and maintain security practices appropriate for a regulated firm - data encryption, access controls, audit logging, penetration testing

You'll need:

  • 5+ years building production software, with a strong backend emphasis
  • Strong command of Python, TypeScript and React/Next.js
  • Experience building and operating scalable, secure systems - you understand infrastructure, observability and deployment pipelines
  • Strong architectural judgement - you'll be making foundational decisions about the stack, data model and system design
  • Comfortable with security and compliance requirements - you've worked in regulated or security-sensitive environments

Contract rate is circa £500 per day. Outside IR35. Interviews are happening now - start date is ASAP.
