You will join a seed stage AI company that turns fragmented operational data into real-time, evidence-based decisions for institutional customers in a regulated vertical.
The founding team is exceptional: Cambridge-trained engineers, Forbes 30u30, MIT 35u35, with prior exits and experience at frontier AI labs.
The flagship AI product is a natural-language co-pilot that lets non-technical users ask complex questions of operational data and get fast, explainable answers. The value proposition is democratisation: moving specialist analysis from a two-week data-science task to a two-minute conversation.
The company has product, enterprise customers, and traction. What it doesn't have is repeatable product-market fit. You're being hired to find it.
What Year 1 looks like:
- In the first 3 months, you will be fluent in the product, the customer base, and the competitive landscape. You will have started running customer conversations and begun shaping a view on where the strongest wedge lies.
- By 6 months, you will have run a series of structured product experiments, started laying out a product strategy, and built trust with both the engineering team and the commercial team as the person who owns product direction.
- By 12 months, you will fully own product. You will be the person tech, commercial, and the founders rely on for product judgement. You will have shaped the strategy that takes the company toward its £10M ARR target over the next 2-3 years.
You have 5-10 years in product with at least one full PMF journey at a B2B startup. You are genuinely hands-on. You write specs and run discovery yourself. You have shipped product in complex enterprise B2B environments with regulated or government-adjacent buyers. You have shipped AI products to production at meaningful scale. You have made real calls on evaluation frameworks, guardrails, hallucination tolerance, cost-latency trade-offs, and how to communicate model uncertainty in the product itself. You are AI-fluent without being AI-obsessed. You treat AI as a feature, not the headline. You have built your career in early-stage and scale-up environments.
Logistics: Circa £100,000 base salary plus meaningful equity. The team is fully remote with offices in London and Bristol. You'll come in once or twice a month.
