Reports To: Facilities Manager
Purpose of Post: Providing an efficient maintenance and repair service to buildings, plant and equipment in order to prevent or minimise breakdowns and down time.
Key Tasks:
- Carry out all duties in a safe manner including assessing work for safety before commencement.
- Carry out an intensive programme of planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance for all company process machinery and equipment.
- Routine maintenance on all company machinery, equipment and buildings to include fault finding, problem solving and minor repairs to minimize down time.
- Full accurate and timely completion of all maintenance logs, schedules, etc. to comply with Health and Safety legislation and company insurance and ISO requirements.
- Reports without delay, all major breakdowns, significant problems, repair requirements, delays or machine down time to the maintenance manager.
- Accompanies/assists contractors while on site to ensure repair of equipment.
- Carry out all major mechanical repairs in relation to buildings and utilities, planned and executed in such a way so as to minimise risk of inconvenience to others.
- Any other duties which may be required by management from time to time.
General:
- Undertake all duties in line with General Data Protection and maintain utmost level of confidentiality.
- Ensure work is completed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
- Ensure that you treat those with whom you come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner in accordance with the Dignity at Work Procedure.
