MULTI-SKILLED LINE TECHNICIAN BALLYMENA Our client is an established and renowned manufacturer of instantly recognizable brands and strongly practices a nurturing, positive culture, creating an environment for success for all employees. We are looking for an enthusiastic Technician with an electrical bias, who is able to actively support and assist the Maintenance Engineer with operational functions, including breakdowns, machine cover, problem-solving, data collection and also routine maintenance during holidays. This role might suit someone with a Technical apprenticeship who perhaps has been a Technical / skilled hands on machine operator. Ideally suited to someone who has been involved with high speed maintenance and is now looking for an opportunity to advance in their career with the right guidance in an Engineering team. The right person will have a very positive manner and who will actively contribute to the team and provide support to colleagues on the line, where needed. Actively investigate faults ensuring root cause is determined and follow up on actions to sustain improvements. In the event of routine/standard breakdowns across the production lines this person will take accountability This is a continental shift based role with an 8 week pattern of 2 days, 2 nights then 4 days off. What you will need: Time served apprenticeship and 2-3 years manufacturing experience OR Working towards NVQ/BTech Electrical or Mechanical or equivalent Excellent communication skills Strong belief in taking ownership and accountability The ability to make decisions and liaise at all levels in a positive manner.
