We are seeking a motivated and multi-skilled skilled Maintenance Electrician or Instrumentation Technician with experience in industrial electrical systems and a practical understanding of PLC-controlled equipment and systems. Supporting commissioning and start-up of new production equipment and lines. Assisting with electrical and control system modifications. Maintaining technical documentation, records and SOPs. Key Responsibilities Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication networks, including Profibus, Profinet and Industrial Ethernet. Install, calibrate and maintain instrumentation including flow meters, pressure sensors, temperature sensors and Variable Speed Drives (VSDs). Support preventative and predictive maintenance programmes. Participate in plant shutdowns, maintenance projects and capital upgrade projects. Manage automation contractors and support project planning, budgeting and scheduling. Ensure all electrical and automation activities comply with plant safety standards, including LOTO and machine safety requirements. Requirements Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Instrumentation or Mechatronics, or time-served electrician. Minimum 35 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience with Siemens PLC systems. Experience with industrial instrumentation and process control systems. Knowledge of Profibus, Profinet and Industrial Ethernet. Experience with VFDs, motor control systems and MCCs. Ability to read electrical drawings, P&IDs and control schematics. Understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments. Desirable Experience Experience in Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Medical Device or FMCG Manufacturing would be advantageous. Additional experience with machine safety systems, safety PLCs, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement would be highly beneficial.
