Excellent opportunity for an electrically biased Field Service Engineer - Electrician, to join a very stable and growing company involved in the service, commissioning and repair of gas detection and monitoring equipment. The role will mainly cover the Greater Belfast area of NI with 5% in ROI. Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will have strong experience in a similar role, and a professional approach to business, including decision making, health and safety and customer focus.
Main duties will involve:
- Install, repair, fault-find and maintain gas detection and monitoring equipment.
- Work as a team member or use own initiative to complete projects.
- Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes.
- Make decisions based on technical documents.
- Perform electrical testing and inspections.
- Respond in a timely fashion to Customer call-outs.
- Problem solve issues and take appropriate remedial action.
- Communicate effectively with the Customers.
Ideal person will possess:
- 5 years electrical installation experience.
- Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
- Qualified Electrician - knowledge of electrical systems, electrical hand tools, and industrial equipment.
- Minimum of 18th Edition and NVQ Level 3 qualification.
- Awareness of electrical regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read schematics, electrical drawings, and other technical documents.
- Testing & Fault finding.
- Strong time management, able to competently prioritise.
- Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling.
- Previous experience of servicing/commissioning/repairing electrical equipment.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- A full, valid driving licence.
