TechMet are recruiting for an Operations Manager. The client is based in Greater Belfast and is involved in the design, development, and delivery of offsite-prefabricated energy systems. There is no travel required, and the salary package competes with those having to travel to the UK for work.
The Solutions team oversees the programming, procurement, planning, and execution of multiple offsite modular projects, including package plant rooms and MEP lateral and riser distribution modules. Working within a state-of-the-art Modular Solutions facility, the team plays a key role in cross-functional delivery alongside the wider decarbonisation business units.
Overview: The Operations Manager will provide leadership and direction across the operational delivery of Offsite Modular Solutions, with overall ownership and management of the mechanical, electrical, BMS, and offsite assembly teams, including management and resourcing of subcontracted labour. The successful candidate will manage cross-functional teams, foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The Operations Manager will provide leadership and governance while maintaining visibility and input across commercial, engineering, design, quality, and logistical functions. They will provide operational input and guidance through design, engineering, planning, and quality teams to drive operational efficiency. The role involves operational involvement across mechanical, electrical, BMS, and offsite assembly teams to improve current cycle times and scale sustainably for projected growth.
The Operations Manager will manage the Modular Solutions team to ensure all projects are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard of quality. They will establish reporting and communication of operational performance and capacity to help inform expansion, investment, and future work-winning decisions, ensuring data is timely, transparent, and actionable.
Ideally candidates will have:
- Previous experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Proven mechanical, electrical, BMS, and construction experience within modular solutions or the commercial MEP sector.
