TechMet are recruiting Precast Setup Technician on behalf of a leading manufacturer within the precast concrete and civil engineering sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing production team working on major construction, infrastructure, coastal protection, road and rail projects across the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up precast concrete units, including moulds, reinforcement positions, lifters, inserts and concrete finishes.
- Read and interpret technical and construction drawings accurately.
- Ensure adherence to daily production plans and quality standards.
- Liaise with technical teams to resolve production issues.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, housekeeping and quality.
- Complete production records and communicate progress with supervisors.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and work flexibly across production areas.
Essential Criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in Construction or a related discipline, and/or a minimum of 3 years' experience in reading drawings and precast pour setups.
- Experience within construction, manufacturing or civil engineering environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience using hand, air or power tools.
- Counterbalance Forklift or Overhead Crane licence.
- CSR, First Aid or Fire Warden training.

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday), typically 6:00am-3:00pm or 7:00am-4:00pm.
Reports To: Civil Production Supervisor / Coordinator and based Co. Antrim.
