Location: Co Antrim (office-based)

Reports to: Lead Estimator

Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00 (however flexible start/finish available)

Role Overview

TechMet are recruiting for a Civils Estimator to join a civil engineering sales team, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting the delivery of successful tenders within the precast concrete and infrastructure sector. This role involves working closely with drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities to produce competitive estimates, support tender submissions, and contribute to securing projects from enquiry through to award.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects
  • Support preparation and submission of tender documentation
  • Review drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities
  • Assist in securing and converting project enquiries into orders
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth order delivery
  • Build and maintain client and contractor relationships
  • Attend client meetings and support commercial discussions
  • Assist in resolving technical and commercial queries
  • Contribute to KPI and business target achievement

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in estimating within civils or construction
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and project information

Desirable

  • 3-5 years industry experience - open to consider level
  • Knowledge of precast concrete products
  • CRM system experience
  • Full driving licence
