Do you thrive at the intersection of infrastructure, scripting, and enterprise platforms - and want to drive smart automation across a global tech estate? A leading quantitative trading firm is expanding its Enterprise Applications team and looking for an adaptable engineer to help optimise, integrate, and extend key third-party tools. This hands-on role blends systems thinking with scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash), and a strong grasp of platforms like Salesforce, Jira, and Tableau within a modern infrastructure stack. You’ll join a growing team shaping internal tooling across a fast-paced, technically ambitious environment. Strong communication, a solid grounding in Windows infrastructure, and the confidence to work across both internal teams and vendors will be key!
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a technical owner for a suite of third-party enterprise platforms (e.g. Jira, Salesforce, Tableau), ensuring they’re configured, integrated, and maintained effectively.
- Customise and extend tools through scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and object-oriented languages (e.g. Java, Apex, Groovy).
- Build and maintain automation workflows and custom connectors using REST APIs and scripting interfaces.
- Translate business requests into scalable, secure, and supportable workflows - collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
- Support onboarding of new tools and vendor platforms, working with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Manage deployments and configuration changes using version control and infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Develop reusable patterns for managing user access, automation, and data pipelines across SaaS applications.
- Own documentation for integration, data handling, and process automation across the application landscape.
- Ensure secure management of sensitive data within cloud-based and hybrid environments.
What You Bring...
- 8-10 years overall technical experience, ideally starting in infrastructure (Windows environment preferred).
- 3-6 years of direct experience managing and customising enterprise tools such as Salesforce, Jira, Tableau, or similar.
- Strong scripting ability - ideally across PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
- Working knowledge of relational databases and querying languages (e.g. SQL, SOQL).
- Hands-on experience integrating systems via REST APIs and building internal tooling to support cross-platform workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud-based application management and SSO integration (e.g. Okta, Azure AD).
- Comfortable with version control workflows and collaborative development (e.g. Git).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills - able to liaise confidently with both internal users and external vendors.
- A curious, adaptable mindset and willingness to learn new platforms as needed.
