As a Blockchain Payments Engineer, you will act as a core architect and owner of mission-critical financial systems. You'll design and scale the infrastructure that powers seamless fiat crypto flows, real-time risk decisions, and highly reliable financial records. This is a hands-on, high-impact role at the centre of payments, compliance, and blockchain operations.

You are a backend and payments-focused engineer with a passion for high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems, fintech infrastructure, and blockchain-based financial products. You thrive in ambiguous environments and take full ownership of complex systems.
Essential Qualifications
- Fiat Onramp Expertise: Proven experience building fiat onramps end to end.
- Systems Design & Scale: Deep experience designing and operating high-scale payments, fintech, or risk platforms.
- Programming Languages: Fluency in Rust or Go, or strong systems experience in TypeScript/Node or Python.
- Databases: Expert-level Postgres knowledge (transactions, indexing, locking), with experience using Redis and event/analytics stores (e.g., Kafka/Redpanda, ClickHouse).
- API Design: Strong command of REST/gRPC best practices, including auth, versioning, pagination, idempotency, and webhook consumers.
- Event-Driven Architecture: Experience with queues, outbox/inbox patterns, sagas, and exactly-once-effective processing.
- Security Mindset: Hands-on experience with key management, HSM/KMS, secrets hygiene, least-privilege access, and auditability.
- Ownership & Ambiguity: Comfortable moving fast, making decisions, measuring outcomes, and iterating in high-ambiguity environments.

- Payments experience: ACH/NACHA returns, 3DS/SCA, AVS/CVV, BIN analysis, chargebacks, mobile wallets.
