Our client are looking for a hands-on Server Migration Engineer who can combine deep technical delivery with the coordination skills to navigate complex, dependency-heavy migrations across hybrid environments.
What you'll be doing:
- Planning and executing physical and virtual server migrations (Windows & Linux) across on-prem and Azure environments
- Active Directory forest and domain separations, OU restructures, and join/rejoin operations
- Deploying and managing Azure Arc, Defender for Cloud, and hybrid management agents
- Supporting virtualisation and containerisation workloads (VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes)
- Hands-on data centre work firmware updates, racking, cabling, and rebuilds
- Driving automation via PowerShell, DSC, SCCM, or Terraform
What we're looking for:
- Expert-level Windows Server (2016–2022) and/or Linux administration
- Solid Azure IaaS experience Arc, Defender for Cloud, VNets, Private DNS
- Strong networking fundamentals VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, TLS, certificates
- Prior M&A separation, carve-out, or data centre migration experience is a real advantage
- Comfortable working independently and briefing both technical and non-technical stakeholders
