A high-profile separation programme. Mid-flight. Moving fast. And they need someone who can take the wheel. The carve-out phase is largely complete, but there is plenty still to deliver. Ongoing server and network migrations, TSA reduction, third-party SI management, and a programme that spans multiple workstreams all need a steady, driven hand to see them through to completion. This is not a role for someone who waits to be told what to do.
Sitting between the Separation Director and the internal project team and architects, you will act as the connective tissue across the programme. You will work closely with third-party SIs, keep governance tight, manage risk and escalation, and make sure delivery momentum is maintained. You will not have direct authority over everyone you need to influence. That is part of what makes this role interesting, and it is exactly the kind of environment where the right person will thrive.
What you will bring:
- A strong track record delivering server and network migration programmes at enterprise scale, including out-of-hours coordination and dependency management.
- Genuine M&A separation or divestment experience, ideally joining a programme that was already in motion and navigating the complexity that comes with that.
- Hands-on experience managing Transitional Service Agreements, including negotiation, reduction planning, and the workstream pressure that TSA timelines create.
- The ability to manage and hold third-party SIs accountable within a collaborative working model.
- Influencing skills sharp enough to drive delivery without positional authority, and the resilience to stay focused when priorities shift and ambiguity increases.
- Confident stakeholder management up to C-suite level, with the communication skills to translate technical complexity into clear business language.
Technical Understanding
- Solid working knowledge of server migration programmes, including Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Sufficient technical literacy to engage credibly with architects and engineers, challenge plans constructively, and identify sequencing risks.
- Understanding of ITIL change management principles and operational readiness processes.
