I’m working with a global research organisation going through a major network transformation and they’re looking for a Network Engineer to come in and support delivery across a large-scale WAN roll out. It’s a really good opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands‑on but also wants exposure to design, documentation and working across a global setup.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting discovery of the existing network estate and helping map everything out properly
  • Assisting with design documentation (HLD/LLD) and keeping everything aligned as the programme progresses
  • Helping plan and execute migrations, including runbooks, cutovers and post‑migration checks
  • Working closely with third parties and regional teams to coordinate delivery
  • Getting involved in security aspects (firewalls, VPNs, policy validation)
  • Running and supporting testing phases (functional, failover, performance)
  • Helping get everything ready for handover into BAU, including monitoring and NOC documentation

What they’re looking for:

  • Solid background in network engineering (around 5+ years)
  • Experience working on WAN / SD‑WAN / SASE environments
  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of Palo Alto (ideally Prisma Access)
  • Good understanding of BGP and routing concepts
  • Strong experience with IPSec VPNs
  • Someone who has been involved in network migrations or large change programmes
  • Comfortable working with global teams and external partners

Nice to have:

  • Experience working on separation or divestment projects
  • Exposure to regulated environments or compliance frameworks (ISO, PCI etc.)
