Go Kubernetes Elastic Stack Observability OpenTelemetry
We are seeking an engineer to represent Elastic in the OpenTelemetry community within the Observability Ingest team. This team builds tools to collect and ingest data for Elastic solutions. You will be contributing to Elastic Agent, Fleet, Integrations platform, and data transformation tooling, with a focus on embedding the OpenTelemetry Collector within the Elastic Stack.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Authoring code on a distributed team, supporting the Observability Ingest teamβs mission, specifically around OTel Collector.
- Participating in technical architecture discussions and cross-team efforts.
- Representing Elastic in the OTel community, influencing the community towards a shared vendor-neutral vision.
- Reviewing pull requests, writing design documents, developing automated testing strategies and manual test plans, and participating in team and product discussions.
- Collaborating with product management, design, and other Ingest teams to ship compelling features for the central management platform.
- Collaborating with teams across Elastic to build a platform that serves the needs of other solution teams, such as Observability and Security.
- Fostering a culture of mutual respect and collaborative decision-making.
What You Bring:
