We are seeking a highly strategic and technically adept Senior Product Marketing Manager to champion our developer ecosystem. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in driving the adoption, engagement, and growth of Smartsheet's developer platform and API capabilities. You will be the voice of the developer, translating complex technical features into compelling value propositions for a diverse audience of developers, partners, and technical decision-makers. This role requires a unique blend of technical understanding, product marketing expertise, and a passion for building vibrant developer communities.

You will work closely with product management, engineering, sales, and external partners to ensure our developer offerings are well-understood, easily discoverable, and enable customers to extend and integrate Smartsheet into their critical business processes. You will report to our Director of Product Marketing, Enterprise and this role is based at Smartsheet’s corporate offices in London, UK (hybrid or UK remote eligible).

  • Partner closely with Product Management, conduct market research, and use customer insights to influence product roadmap, ensure product-market fit, and align on strategic priorities.
  • Craft clear, compelling, and differentiated messaging and positioning that resonates with various developer personas (e.g., enterprise developers, system integrators, SaaS partners).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans including customer communications for new API capabilities, SDKs, developer tools, and platform enhancements.
  • Create high-impact marketing content, including presentations, blog posts, thought leadership articles, case studies, and website copy that showcase the power of the Smartsheet platform.
  • Clearly communicate technical details to customers regarding API changes, releases, and deprecations including writing release notes and collaborating on developer documentation and API guides.
  • Equip sales and customer-facing teams such as customer success, sales, and internal enablement with the tools, training, and content necessary to articulate the value of our developer platform to technical buyers and partners.
  • Define key metrics, track performance, and report on the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives related to the developer ecosystem.

You have:

  • 5+ years of marketing or product marketing experience with at least 3 years specifically focused on developer platforms, APIs, SDKs, or cloud-based integration solutions.
  • Experience launching technical products including developing messaging, content, and go-to-market plans.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, web technologies (REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks), cloud platforms, and common integration patterns.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, concise, and engaging language.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret market data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, projects, and deliverables in a high-growth environment, diving into challenges when needed, and seamlessly pivoting between detailed execution and high-level strategic thinking.
  • Strong collaborative and cross-functional skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders to drive results.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to work in the UK on an ongoing basis.
