The Role
The Junior SOC Analyst Apprentice will join our Security Operations Centre (SOC) team, gaining hands-on experience monitoring and protecting client and internal systems against cyber threats. You’ll learn how to identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents while building a foundation in cybersecurity best practices and tooling.
This role is fast-paced and investigative. You’ll be involved in everything from monitoring alerts and reviewing logs, to assisting in incident response under the guidance of experienced SOC Analysts.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts, logs, and dashboards for potential threats.
- Assist with triaging and escalating incidents in line with SOC processes.
- Help investigate suspicious activity and document findings.
- Contribute to vulnerability scanning, patching, and remediation efforts.
- Support the implementation of security controls and policies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed incident and security documentation.
- Build knowledge of SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence tools.
- Develop strong communication skills when providing updates to stakeholders.
