The Role

The Junior SOC Analyst Apprentice will join our Security Operations Centre (SOC) team, gaining hands-on experience monitoring and protecting client and internal systems against cyber threats. You\’ll learn how to identify, investigate, and respond to security incidents while building a foundation in cybersecurity best practices and tooling.

This role is fast-paced and investigative. You\’ll be involved in everything from monitoring alerts and reviewing logs, to assisting in incident response under the guidance of experienced SOC Analysts.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor security alerts, logs, and dashboards for potential threats.
  • Assist with triaging and escalating incidents in line with SOC processes.
  • Help investigate suspicious activity and document findings.
  • Contribute to vulnerability scanning, patching, and remediation efforts.
  • Support the implementation of security controls and policies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed incident and security documentation.
  • Build knowledge of SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence tools.
  • Develop strong communication skills when providing updates to stakeholders.

Education & Qualifications

  • A UK driving license is beneficial but not essential.
