Overview
Tech4Good South West is a community led network connecting charities, social enterprises, local government, and the tech sector across the South West. We run a number of initiatives from our flagship Living Labs and Digital Divide Collective, to pro bono tech pilots and regional hubs in Bath, Bristol, and Exeter. Our mission is to harness technology to create positive social and environmental impact.
The Role
We are looking for a volunteer with hands on communications skills to help us tell the story of Tech4Good South West. Living Labs is our current priority, showcasing real world collaborations between non profits and tech organisations, but there are also opportunities to share stories from our wider programmes, events, and community.
Storytelling is at the heart of this role, capturing what we are doing and elevating stories from across the community to inspire others and shine a light on tech for good in the South West.
This opportunity could also suit an individual or a small agency looking to contribute their skills to the tech for good movement. While this is a volunteer role to begin with, we are actively exploring ways for our communications capacity to grow in future so there may be scope to evolve the role over time.
You will work closely with the team to:
- Create engaging content for our LinkedIn, newsletters, and member channels
- Shape and share stories from our members, partners, and community
- Repurpose content including blogs, podcasts, and event write ups for different audiences
- Support campaign delivery for Living Labs and other initiatives
- Use tools like Canva, Mailchimp and other platforms to create content and updates
- Help maintain consistency of tone and messaging across platforms
What We Are Looking For
- Strong written communication and a passion for storytelling and digital content
- Comfortable using LinkedIn as a primary social media channel
- Ability to turn ideas, notes, or longer reports into accessible and engaging content
- Organised, proactive, and able to work flexibly as part of a small team
- A genuine interest in tech for good, digital inclusion, and social impact

Time Commitment
