Overview
A Y Combinator-backed startup that just raised $13M in seed funding to fix one of the most broken parts of insurance: the admin. Insurance companies waste countless hours on manual, repetitive processes. This team is building AI-powered solutions that actually work, and insurers are paying attention.
Responsibilities
- Join as a founding engineer in a YC company with serious funding and traction
- Build production LLM applications that eliminate hours of manual work for real businesses
- Own features end-to-end, from design through deployment
- Work in-office with the founding team where the best ideas happen (and ship fastest)
Qualifications
- 1+ years building full-stack applications with TypeScript (React, Next.js, Node, etc)
- Hands-on experience working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)
- Ability to move fast and ship quality code in a 0>1 environment
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering from Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial, or equivalent top-tier institution
- Excited about being in-office full-time: collaborative energy, faster iteration, and building something special together
What sets great candidates apart:
- You’ve actually built something with LLMs beyond tutorials.
- You understand the nuances of prompting, error handling, and building reliable systems on top of non-deterministic APIs.
What’s on offer
- Up to £165k base salary
- Meaningful equity in a well-funded YC company
- 30 days holiday + 30 days work from anywhere (yes, both!)
- Work directly with founders who secured YC backing and $13M from top-tier investors
- Be in the room where product and technical decisions are made
Why in-office matters
