We’re partnered with an ambitious AI startup building the intelligence layer that can autonomously run small businesses. Working alongside a highly successful technical founder (previous $300m bootstrapped exit), they are assembling a world-class founding team to build something entirely new.
Up to £150k + Up to 1% equity. True founding engineer scope in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.
The Role: This is a hands-on founding engineer position where you will be shipping fast, shaping architecture, and embedding cutting-edge AI directly into the product. You will be building systems that enable thousands of businesses to operate autonomously.
What you’ll do:
- Build and ship step-changing product features end-to-end
- Integrate advanced AI capabilities including voice, reasoning, and context management
- Design and own scalable APIs connecting products and intelligence systems
- Architect data pipelines that power decision-making and agent context
- Build backend systems for knowledge extraction, enrichment, and automation
- Contribute to DevOps practices across CI/CD, infrastructure, and observability
