We are seeking a Site Engineer to join the HS2 project team based in the Aylesbury area, supporting the delivery of civil engineering works on this major infrastructure programme.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out setting out, levelling, and surveying using Total Station and GPS equipment
- Ensure works are constructed to design specification, within tolerance, and in line with drawings
- Monitor and record as-built information; maintain accurate site records
- Liaise with subcontractors, site management, and the design team to resolve technical queries
- Support quality control, including checks and inspections against method statements
- Assist with programme planning and material/resource coordination
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards on site
Requirements:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Proven setting out experience on major infrastructure or rail projects (HS2 experience advantageous)
- Proficiency with Leica/Trimble Total Stations, GPS, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- CSCS card; SSSTS/SMSTS desirable
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
