We’re looking for an experienced Site Agent with a strong engineering background to join a major power infrastructure project in Walkington. The project involves the civils package associated with an offshore power converter station, with a good mix of 278 works, groundworks and general heavy civils. This needs someone who understands the engineering side of a job and is comfortable getting involved with the technical detail rather than simply managing subcontractors.

The Role

  • Section 278 / highways works
  • Groundworks and drainage
  • Earthworks and associated civils
  • Managing engineers and site teams
  • RAMS and temporary works coordination
  • Programming and short-term planning
  • Quality and technical compliance
  • Subcontractor management
  • Health & Safety
  • Liaising with the Project Manager, client and design teams

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need to be an experienced Site Agent from an engineering background, ideally having progressed from Site Engineer / Senior Engineer level. Experience across 278 works, highways, groundworks and heavy civils is important. Power, energy or major infrastructure experience would be useful, but the main thing is having a strong engineering understanding and being able to take control of a technically challenging civils package.
