Graduate / Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer – Major Infrastructure Projects Location: Stratford Upon Avon Salary: Competitive Package - Permanent Sector: Civil Engineering / Infrastructure - Consultancy We're working with a growing engineering consultancy that's looking to bring in an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to support the delivery of major UK infrastructure projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong civil engineering background who enjoys getting involved in the technical side of projects, solving engineering problems and taking ownership of delivery. We're not necessarily looking for someone who's spent their entire career in design. If you're an experienced Civil Engineer, Section Engineer, Sub Agent or Section Manager with a solid engineering background and looking to move into a broader technical role, we'd be keen to speak with you. The Role You'll be working across major infrastructure schemes, supporting both contractors and clients through design, construction, engineering assurance and project handover. Responsibilities will include: * Taking ownership of engineering activities and technical deliverables. * Working closely with Design Managers, Engineering Managers and site teams. * Resolving technical queries, design changes and engineering issues. * Reviewing drawings, engineering models, calculations and construction information. * Coordinating multidisciplinary design and engineering interfaces. * Supporting CAD, BIM and digital engineering delivery. * Ensuring engineering information and as-built records are accurate and properly managed. * Providing technical support throughout construction and handover. * Mentoring junior engineers and supporting wider project teams. What We're Looking For * Strong civil engineering background, ideally on major infrastructure projects. * Experience in rail, highways, water, utilities or energy projects. * Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. * Chartered, Incorporated or working towards professional accreditation. * Good understanding of construction methods, engineering standards and technical assurance. * Experience managing engineering information and resolving technical issues. * An understanding of BIM, Civil 3D, OpenRoads or similar software. * Confident dealing with designers, contractors, clients and engineering teams. * Someone who can take responsibility, make decisions and get things moving. A site engineering background would be a real advantage, particularly if you've worked through construction challenges, design changes, technical queries and handover requirements. What's on Offer? You'll be joining an established but growing consultancy working on some significant UK infrastructure projects. The business offers the technical capability and project exposure of a larger consultancy, but with a more flexible approach and the opportunity to have a genuine say in how projects are delivered. It's a good opportunity for an ambitious engineer who wants to develop their career beyond traditional site engineering or move into a more technical engineering management position. Interested?
