I am partnering with a fast-growing tech company in the logistics / ecommerce space that is expanding its commercial team in London. We are looking for a Solutions Engineer / Sales Engineer to act as the subject‑matter expert in the sales cycle, translating complex business problems into practical technical solutions. This person will partner closely with sales, product, and customer stakeholders to drive demos, proof‑of‑concepts, and data‑backed business cases.
Role overview
- Become an expert on the full product suite and deliver tailored demos to prospects and customers.
- Lead and run Proofs of Concept and pilots, ensuring technical success and clear evaluation criteria.
- Analyze customer data to build business cases, quantify impact, and clearly articulate the “cost of inaction.”
- Translate customer challenges into clear technical requirements and collaborate with internal teams to design feasible solutions.
- Act as a technical partner to the commercial team throughout the pre‑sales process.
Ideal profile
- 5–10 years of experience in a combined industry and technology environment (e.g., logistics / ecommerce / supply chain tech, SaaS, platforms).
- Confident presenting to C‑level stakeholders, able to explain both technical detail and commercial value.
- Global mindset and cultural awareness to work with international clients and distributed internal teams.
- Senior enough to own complex pre‑sales work independently, but still motivated by hands‑on delivery rather than people management.
