About the role: As a highly skilled Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role on a newly launched CloudOps team, working at the intersection of infrastructure, DevOps, security, and compliance. You’ll collaborate with product and engineering teams to build scalable systems, ensure service reliability, and deliver continuous improvements across the Azure environment. This is a hands-on, technical, cross-functional position helping to build and evolve a robust cloud foundation for the platform.
Key areas of focus include:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code using tools such as Azure DevOps and Terraform.
- Deploy and manage product instances across development, staging, and production environments.
- Maintain and operate Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring performance, availability, and security.
- Monitor systems using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Drive cloud automation, optimize performance, and ensure high availability across environments.
- Collaborate on cost-optimization strategies and infrastructure efficiency.
- Work closely with security and compliance stakeholders to support SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR readiness.
- Participate in incident triage, team ceremonies, and contribute to evolving DevOps practices (Kanban/Agile).
Requirements:
- 5+ years in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering, with a strong focus on Azure.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Key Vault, Networking, and RBAC.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Azure Pipelines) and IaC frameworks (Terraform or similar).
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Python.
- Familiarity with Windows, IIS, and SQL Server, including basic SQL queries.
- Solid understanding of monitoring, cost management, and cloud governance best practices.
- Experience with enterprise compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills; able to present complex ideas clearly.
- Self-driven, collaborative, and passionate about continuous improvement.
