I am partnering with a fast-growing tech company in the logistics / ecommerce space that is expanding its commercial team in London. We are looking for a Solutions Engineer / Sales Engineer to act as the subject-matter expert in the sales cycle, translating complex business problems into practical technical solutions. This person will partner closely with sales, product, and customer stakeholders to drive demos, proof-of-concepts, and data-backed business cases.
Role overview
- Become an expert on the full product suite and deliver tailored demos to prospects and customers.
- Lead and run Proofs of Concept and pilots, ensuring technical success and clear evaluation criteria.
- Analyze customer data to build business cases, quantify impact, and clearly articulate the “cost of inaction.”
- Translate customer challenges into clear technical requirements and collaborate with internal teams to design feasible solutions.
- Act as a technical partner to the commercial team throughout the pre-sales process.
Ideal profile
- 5–10 years of experience in a combined industry and technology environment (e.g., logistics / ecommerce / supply chain tech, SaaS, platforms).
- Confident presenting to C-level stakeholders, able to explain both technical detail and commercial value.
- Global mindset and cultural awareness to work with international clients and distributed internal teams.
- Senior enough to own complex pre-sales work independently, but still motivated by hands-on delivery rather than people management.
