A leading Security Integration Company is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to oversee key projects across the EMEA region. With nearly 30 years of expertise, the company delivers bespoke security solutions to high-security, commercial, and data centre clients. This role involves extensive travel within Europe and requires flexibility and strong project management skills.

Role Overview: The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing the installation and handover of security systems at client sites across Europe. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the project, ensuring full compliance with design specifications. You will also supervise and support engineers, subcontractors, and junior engineers, ensuring projects run smoothly and to a high standard. The role involves 70% of travel with 1-2 weeks away at a time and then rest periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee the installation of security systems, working closely with the Project Manager.
  • Review project documents and contracts to ensure compliance with requirements and resolve any queries.
  • Ensure the timely delivery and installation of systems, monitoring project progress and profitability.
  • Keep customers and relevant stakeholders updated on project status.
  • Address any delays or difficulties that may affect the project timeline or incur penalties.
  • Provide customer training and ensure all handover and commissioning documents are signed and delivered.
  • Collaborate with the Service Department to ensure smooth transitions from installation to ongoing maintenance.
  • Mentor junior engineers, ensuring they receive guidance and support to develop their skills.

Stock and Equipment Management:

  • Maintain stock levels and order parts as required, ensuring equipment is stored and labelled properly.
  • Manage company tools and ensure they meet Health and Safety standards.
  • Keep company vehicles clean and in good working order, adhering to vehicle operating rules.
