Our client, a specialist security integrator and part of an established group, is looking for a Professional Services Engineer to join their team. This is an opportunity to work on enterprise-level integrated security solutions while advancing your technical expertise in a company that values its people and invests in their growth.

Position Overview:

As a Professional Services Engineer, you'll play a central role in delivering and supporting complex security systems for clients across multiple sectors. You'll take technical ownership of projects, carry out sophisticated upgrades and integrations, and provide expert support to both the projects team and clients. Your work will directly impact the protection of people, assets and operations across diverse environments, from government facilities to healthcare settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out system enhancements, complex software and hardware upgrades, prebuilding, labelling, programming, testing and handover.
  • Take ownership of allocated projects from start to completion, including research and bench testing prior to site work.
  • Provide technical support to the projects team, attending client meetings, system demonstrations and re-designing systems.
  • Support the technical helpdesk team with escalated calls, planned upgrades, handovers and helpdesk coverage.
  • Deliver second-line technical support on-site and remotely, assisting with new system takeovers.
  • Train and assist other engineers, sharing knowledge and building team capability.
  • Recommend system and performance improvements to clients based on technical insights.
  • Contribute to team and company growth by suggesting process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Can-do attitude with strong organisational skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Proven experience working on enterprise security systems, including commissioning, complex software and hardware upgrades, and integrations.
  • Knowledge of security hardware, software, SQL, networks, SaaS deployments and Windows troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and structured cabling systems.
  • Certifications in Genetec, Lenel, Gallagher, CCURE 9000 or Milestone.
  • Experience in SQL server (scripting, queries), JavaScript, Python, C++, PowerShell, and working with SDKs and APIs (desirable).
  • Certifications such as MCSE or CCNA (desirable).
