Our client, a leading specialist in electronic security systems, is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join their expanding Commercial Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of innovative security solutions for a diverse range of clients.

Position Overview

As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design process, working closely with the wider team to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality project documentation. Your expertise in CAD software and attention to detail will be instrumental in creating accurate specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), and other key design documents.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support deliverables throughout the design process, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
  • Read, produce, and check specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), and other key design documents.
  • Use, create, and develop existing CAD system templates in collaboration with the wider team.
  • Visit sites to enhance knowledge of real-life environments and installations, informing design decisions.
  • Coordinate with the design team to meet project deadlines and revise documentation as needed.
  • Maintain current and future certifications relevant to the role.

Requirements

  • Autodesk Certified User level of experience or equivalent in CAD software.
  • Proficiency in working with external references, dynamic blocks, and table/data import in CAD.
  • Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office.
  • Basic understanding of network topology and knowledge of survey techniques and site survey data handling.
  • Desirable: Experience with Access Control, Intruder Alarm, or IP CCTV systems and knowledge of security system architectures (e.g., C-CURE, Lenel/S2, Gallagher, Genetec, Honeywell).
