A leading privately owned principal MEP contractor located in south London specialising in managing projects ranging from £5 million to £50 million within commercial, healthcare, and pharmaceutical sectors. They have a key requirement for an M&E biased Quantity Surveyor to report to the construction director.
The M&E Quantity Surveyor will be tasked, along with the commercial manager, in overseeing the commercial aspects of a £40 million project due to complete in 2028, as well as assisting with planned projects and projects completing within the London area.
The main duties will include:
- Reviewing subcontract submissions for approval, accounting, and sign off.
- Challenging submissions when required.
- Meeting with the client for reporting and reviews.
- Submissions for variations to the main client, documentation of works completed, invoice submissions, and accounting.
- Review of alterations to works.
Work schedule includes 2 days a week on site in Bagshot and 3 days a week in Croydon. Office hours are 9:00 - 17:30, with site hours typically starting at 7:00 am. Site visits as and when required, with the expectation that this will be two days a week in Basingstoke and three days a week near Croydon.
To be considered for the position, you will be an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor with a CSCS card, located within commuting distance to south London/Croydon area. The ideal location would be around Caterham or Epsom in Surrey.
Salary is £70,000 to £75,000 with a car allowance, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, and standard pension.
