We are working with a well-established mechanical building services contractor who is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical CAD Engineer to support their busy design team on a temporary contract. With a strong pipeline of commercial projects, this is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable contractor and hit the ground running on a variety of live building services projects.
This role is available for an immediate start, with a minimum three-month contract and the potential for further work. Day rate is negotiable, depending on experience.
The role:
- Support the delivery of mechanical building services designs across a range of commercial projects, producing accurate drawings, calculations, and technical documentation to support project delivery.
- Produce detailed 2D mechanical layout drawings using AutoCAD.
- Carry out heating and cooling load calculations using Hevacomp.
- Complete ductwork and pipework pressure loss calculations.
- Prepare technical submittals, schedules, and design documentation.
- Coordinate designs with project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Support projects throughout the design, coordination, and construction phases.
- Work on commercial building services projects, including CAT A and CAT B fit-outs.
