Working Hours:
- Monday-Thursday: 07:30-16:30
- Friday: 07:30-15:00
Morning Break: 20 minutes, paid
Afternoon Break: 30 minutes, unpaid
We are currently looking for 2 experienced Mechanical Pipefitters to work on a 6-month project at Shrewsbury Hospital. The successful candidates will be responsible for the installation of mechanical services, including:
- First-fix installation of secondary steelwork using Sikla and Unistrut systems.
- Installation of copper press-fit pipework.
- Installation of stainless-steel flanged pipework.
- Reading and working from mechanical drawings.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with project requirements.
- Maintaining excellent health and safety standards throughout the project.
Essential Requirements:
- Valid CSCS, JIB or equivalent Skills Card - card must state Mechanical Pipefitting.
- NVQ Level 2 minimum in a relevant mechanical/pipefitting qualification.
- Valid IPAF certification.
- Own hand tools.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Pipefitter.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
- Must have the skills and experience required to carry out the duties of the role safely and competently.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working on similar hospital or large commercial projects.
- Own transport.
