Operations Manager - M&E Facilities Management

A well-established M&E Facilities Management contractor with a turnover exceeding £5m is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of a Hard Services department.
Reporting directly to the Head of FM and Managing Director, you will oversee FM contracts, supported by Contracts Managers, Helpdesk and Technical Managers and a team of HVAC and Building Services Engineers.
The Role
- Overall responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of a service and maintenance portfolio.
- Oversee Contracts Management, Helpdesk and Technical Operations.
- Maintain strong commercial control, including budgets, margins, P&L, variations, additional works and contract performance.
- Monitor KPIs, financial information and operational performance, taking action where required.
- Ensure contract paperwork, reports, records and documentation are accurate and completed within deadlines.
- Manage key client relationships and support managers with escalations and commercial issues.
- Identify opportunities for contract growth, additional works and improved profitability.
- Work closely with the Head of FM and MD on business performance, forecasting and operational strategy.
About You
- Proven senior management experience within M&E FM, Hard FM, Building Services or HVAC service and maintenance.
- Experienced managing Managers and senior operational teams.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing a department.
- Good understanding of P&L, budgets, margins, variations and financial reporting.
- Highly organised with strong administration, paperwork and reporting skills.
- Strong leadership, client management and communication skills.
- Commercially minded with a focus on performance, profitability and client retention.
- Commutable to London.
Package
