We are seeking reliable and experienced maintenance mechanical operatives with strong mechanical skills to join the Facilities & Estates team at Lambeth Hospital. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with solid plumbing/mechanical knowledge and experience working in a commercial, estates, or healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), including drainage PPMs, strainer maintenance, and basic pump maintenance
  • Work across plant rooms and mechanical infrastructure to ensure smooth operation
  • Diagnose and resolve plumbing/mechanical faults independently where possible
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests promptly and professionally
  • Follow hospital health & safety and operational procedures at all times

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a maintenance plumber or mechanical engineer
  • Basic DBS certificate (essential) or enhanced in-date DBS
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Contract duration: 3 months
