Commercial Electrician Needed - Harwell (Didcot)
We're looking for an experienced commercial electrician for a long-term project based in Harwell, Didcot.
Details:
- Start date: End of April (TBC)
- Duration: Minimum 6 months
- Hours: 8 hours per day (30-minute break)
- Rate: £30-£34 ph (DOE and tickets)
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, commissioning, and upgrade support of specialist electrical systems
- Electrical wiring of panels, control racks, and equipment (including high current/voltage systems)
- Installation of cable containment systems (flexible and rigid)
- Termination of multipole and coaxial connectors (solder, crimp, cage clamp)
- Carrying out safety testing prior to energisation and periodic inspection/testing
- Fault finding, repair, and ongoing system maintenance
- Working closely with project teams and other contractors to ensure timely delivery
Requirements:
- Valid Gold Card
- 2391 Testing & Inspection (desirable)
- IPAF (preferred)
- Strong experience in commercial 1st & 2nd fix
- Confident in testing, inspection, and fault finding
- Own tools and PPE
