Electrical Bias Building Services Engineer Location: Basingstoke – Portsmouth (mobile role covering Reading to Salisbury) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Up to £45,000 (dependent on experience) A leading Mechanical & Electrical contractor with a strong family culture is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Building Services Engineer to join their mobile team. This is a varied role combining electrical expertise with general M&E maintenance, offering stability, career development, and the opportunity to work with a well-respected business. Key Responsibilities Service and maintain BMS front-end systems Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and mechanical plant Diagnose and repair faults across electrical and mechanical systems Undertake general M&E maintenance tasks, including: Emergency lighting tests Water temperature monitoring AHU and FCU maintenance Minor plumbing repairs Reactive maintenance Provide excellent client-facing service, maintaining strong on-site relationships Participate in on-call rota (1 in 4 weeks) – travel time paid after first and last 30 minutes of the day Requirements NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or Maintenance 18th Edition Wiring Regulations 2391 Test & Inspect certification Proven experience in PPM, fault finding, and repairs on both electrical and mechanical systems Strong interpersonal and communication skills Computer literacy (experience with Simpro or Verisae advantageous) Based within a commutable distance of Basingstoke Benefits Competitive salary up to £45,000 (DOE) Paid travel time (after first/last 30 mins) Permanent, stable position within a supportive and collaborative team environment Contact: Nikki at Tech-People on (phone number removed) Tech-People are specialists in HVAC, M&E, and Utilities recruitment.
