We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Carpenter to join the Facilities & Estates team at Royal Brompton Hospital. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with solid carpentry experience, particularly within a commercial, estates, or healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and general carpentry repairs
- Perform maintenance on doors, frames, locks, and general fabric of the building
- Work across the site to ensure facilities are maintained to a high standard
- Diagnose and resolve carpentry and basic maintenance issues independently
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests promptly and professionally
- Follow all site health & safety and operational procedures
Requirements:
- Fully qualified Carpenter (essential)
- Valid Blue CSCS Card (preferred)
- Proven experience in maintenance carpentry
- Basic DBS (essential) or an in-date Enhanced DBS
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Contract Details:
- Initial 4-week contract (potential to be extended)
- Start: Monday (ASAP)
- Rate: £220 per day (based on 8 working hrs)
