We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Carpenter to join the Facilities & Estates team at Royal Brompton Hospital. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with solid carpentry experience, particularly within a commercial, estates, or healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and general carpentry repairs
  • Perform maintenance on doors, frames, locks, and general fabric of the building
  • Work across the site to ensure facilities are maintained to a high standard
  • Diagnose and resolve carpentry and basic maintenance issues independently
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests promptly and professionally
  • Follow all site health & safety and operational procedures

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified Carpenter (essential)
  • Valid Blue CSCS Card (preferred)
  • Proven experience in maintenance carpentry
  • Basic DBS (essential) or an in-date Enhanced DBS
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Contract Details:

  • Initial 4-week contract (potential to be extended)
  • Start: Monday (ASAP)
  • Rate: £220 per day (based on 8 working hrs)
