MECHANICAL BUILDING SERVICES ENGINEER - BARTON - START 09/11/2026 - UNTIL 14/02/2027 We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical BS Engineer to work on a commercial building maintenance contract in Barton. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical, plumbing, heating and water systems within the building. Duties & Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to mechanical, plumbing, heating and air-conditioning systems. Maintain water systems, heating plant and mechanical equipment. Maintain evaporative cooling systems and domestic and chlorinated water systems in accordance with L8 requirements. Install and maintain water pipework and plumbing fixtures. Maintain waste and drainage systems. Identify and rectify plant faults and defects promptly. Carry out routine inspections and maintenance to ensure all equipment remains safe and operational. Assist other engineers and contractors with mechanical installations and maintenance projects. Ensure all work is completed in line with site procedures and agreed service standards.Requirements: Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, ideally within commercial buildings or hospital environments. Good knowledge of plumbing, heating, water and mechanical systems. Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance. Knowledge of L8 water hygiene requirements. Relevant mechanical/plumbing qualifications.Working Hours: 6:30am - 3:30pm, 40 hours per week. Start Date: 09/11/2026 Duration: Until 14/02/2027.
