A reputable and expanding building services contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of complex HVAC and mechanical projects across Essex and the surrounding areas. This is initially a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering genuine autonomy, exposure to technically challenging work, and the chance to join a business with a strong pipeline of secured projects.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end project delivery, from site surveys and coordination through to commissioning and completion
- Ownership of project performance, including programme, cost control, quality, and commercial outcomes
- Management of direct labour and specialist sub-contractors
- Ensuring all health & safety obligations are met, including site inspections and reporting
- Commercial administration, including variations, applications, valuations, and change control
- Producing and managing detailed project programmes
- Proactive risk management and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
To be considered, you will need
- A solid background in delivering HVAC or mechanical building services projects
- Experience working with systems such as AHUs, VRF/VRV, ductwork, chilled water, plumbing, and chillers
- A good understanding of commercial and contractual processes
- A track record of managing site teams and multiple workstreams
- Strong organisational skills and a hands-on, solutions-focused approach
