Job Title: Vice President – Insurance
Location: London, United Kingdom
Market Focus: UK & Ireland Insurance Sector (Life, P&C, Specialty, Reinsurance)
As a Vice President – Insurance, you will be at the forefront of Tech Mahindra’s growth strategy in the UK and Ireland insurance market, leading strategic client engagements, driving revenue growth, and delivering value-led technology transformation to top-tier insurers, brokers, and MGAs. With a strong focus on the London Market, your role will be pivotal in cultivating long-term relationships, shaping solution-led propositions, and achieving commercial success through consultative selling and collaborative innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Own the revenue growth and client success agenda across key insurance accounts in the UKI region, particularly the London Market, with responsibility for sales target achievement, pipeline conversion, and strategic account planning.
- Client Relationship Management: Build C-level relationships with key stakeholders across underwriting, claims, IT, and transformation offices to position Tech Mahindra as a trusted digital partner.
- Solution Selling: Lead the consultative sales cycle from identification to closure by aligning customer needs with Tech Mahindra’s portfolio in digital engineering, cloud transformation, core insurance platforms (Guidewire, SAP FS), data modernization, AI/GenAI, and TPA solutions.
- Go-to-Market Execution: Work with marketing, pre-sales, delivery, and partner ecosystem (e.g., AWS, Salesforce, Guidewire) to craft compelling GTM strategies and differentiated value propositions tailored for the insurance sector.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitive landscape, market shifts, and regulatory impacts (e.g., Solvency II, IFRS17) to refine positioning and identify whitespace opportunities in the insurance value chain.
- Bid and Proposal Management: Lead RFP/RFI responses, solution workshops, pricing strategy, and commercial negotiations, ensuring alignment with client priorities and internal governance.
- Account Expansion: Drive account mining strategies across existing customers by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities within core tech, infrastructure, and innovation mandates.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven Sales Leadership: 8+ years of B2B sales experience in technology services or SaaS, with at least 5 years in the insurance domain. Deep familiarity with UKI and London insurance markets is essential.
- Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of insurance operating models (Life, P&C, Specialty, Reinsurance), regulatory frameworks, and technology challenges (legacy modernization, digitization, AI enablement).
- Tech Acumen: Knowledge of core platforms (Guidewire, SAP FS-CD/PM/CM), cloud (AWS, Azure), low-code, data analytics, AI/ML, and API ecosystem. Ability to engage in both business and technical conversations.
- Relationship Builder: Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and executive presence with the ability to orchestrate across CXO, procurement, and delivery stakeholders.
- Sales Methodologies: Trained in sales frameworks such as MEDDIC, Challenger, or SPIN Selling; CRM proficiency in Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Results-Driven: Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset, with a proven track record of delivering $10M+ revenue portfolios and cultivating long-term client partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering; MBA or post-graduate degree preferred.
- Experience working in or with major insurers or insurtechs within the UK or EU market.
- Network within Lloyd’s market, London insurance ecosystem, or regional industry forums (e.g., Airmic, InsurTech UK).
