A global IP carrier is seeking a talented IP Network Engineer/Architect to lead the design and development of advanced network services across a multi-layer infrastructure. This role is critical for ensuring high-performance, scalable, and secure network solutions that support global connectivity and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, design, and development of advanced IP network services.
- Configure network elements and manage end-to-end implementation and optimization.
- Deliver proof-of-concept and acceptance testing for new technologies.
- Act as technical lead for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.
- Provide 3rd-level troubleshooting and coordinate critical incident resolution.
- Develop new features and ensure solutions remain commercially viable.
- Negotiate with vendors and carriers; manage circuit provisioning.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with industry standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strong technical expertise at CCNP/JNCIA level or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, Ethernet, L2/L3 VPN, QoS, firewalls, SD-WAN, EVPN-VXLAN, IPSec, SONET/SDH, MPLS, and optical networking.
- Proficiency with routing protocols: EIGRP, RIP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP.
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Cisco IOS, Junos, Palo Alto PAN-OS, Mikrotik OS, AWS configuration.
- Strong planning and design skills across networks, systems, and servers.
- Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication abilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible).
- Familiarity with cloud networking and virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of SDN/NFV and advanced security frameworks.
- Exposure to carrier-grade network environments and global IP backbone operations.
- Ability to manage large-scale migrations and multi-vendor integrations.
